A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

Where did you score your pair?

I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.

Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book

What’s the going rate?

Back in gooseshoes.org April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.

You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their level of detail.

How is the fit?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Are they comfortable?

They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just adjust easily.

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How do they compare to other sneakers?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.

Would you buy again?

Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.
